DFW-based homebuilder American Legend Homes is pleased to announce exciting leadership transitions as the company prepares to celebrate its 20-year anniversary. American Legend Homes is a family and employee-owned, award-winning organization that is part of the Bright Industries family of businesses, a respected entity with a presence in North Texas since the 1950s. American Legend has been building homes in the DFW area since 2003 and expanded into Colorado in 2018.
Kevin Egan (pictured here), who has served as company President and COO since 2010, will now serve as CEO. Egan has been in the homebuilding business for 37 years. In the 13 years since he has been with American Legend, the company has grown from 180 closings with $41M in annual revenue to more than 950 closings with more than $600M in annual revenue.
“Our success is a result of focusing heavily on building quality homes and providing impeccable customer service. Additionally, we’ve established long-lasting relationships with many developers by responding quickly to new opportunities and never wavering from our commitments,” said Egan. “All of these things together have been key to our overall growth as a company.”
With the naming of Egan as CEO, current CFO Paul Miller will move into the role of President and COO. As part of the Bright Industries family since 2002, Miller initially served as CFO for Bright Truck Leasing before becoming CFO for American Legend Homes. In his new role as President and COO, Miller will continue to build on customer and developer relationships and work to continue growth in DFW and Colorado. Just this month, American Legend announced it is building homes in Colorado Springs, adding to the current Colorado cities of Aurora, Loveland, Windsor and Timnath. In DFW, American Legend currently builds in Carrollton, Celina, Frisco, Haslet, Lewisville, Little Elm, Mansfield, Northlake, Oak Point, Prosper, Rhome and The Colony.
“I look forward to continuing the long history of growth and success we have achieved at American Legend Homes and working with all our dedicated team members who have been so instrumental in that success,” said Miller. “We will continue the tradition of building quality homes with a focus on customer satisfaction in both DFW and Colorado, while always looking for continued growth opportunities.”
Joining American Legend Homes as CFO is Todd Friant, who brings 23 years of progressive corporate finance and accounting experience across many businesses. American Legend’s executive team also includes Forrest Hartley in the role of Land Acquisition Manager. He has served in this position since 2011, evaluating master-planned communities and overseeing the purchase of all homesites in both DFW and Colorado.
“We are very fortunate to have the executive team we have in place and I’m especially proud of being able to promote Paul Miller to COO and President. Paul not only has a great understanding of operations, but the culture we have created at American Legend Homes. His sharp business acumen and effective leadership style will ensure a seamless transition for our team as we continue to focus on building quality homes and serving our customers,” added Egan.
