“Rain, Rain, Don’t Go Away!” Says American Legend!

Although they can sometimes be dreary and unwelcomed, rainy days don’t have to stop the fun! You can find plenty of fun indoor activities to keep you busy. Here are a few favorites from American Legend Homes. (Note: You’ll definitely want to bookmark this so you can refer to it often this spring!)

Break out the cookbook and get cookin’! This is a great way to beat the rainy-day blues. Get the whole family involved and cook up something delicious for lunch or dinner! There’s plenty of space in your American Legend kitchen so there’s a spot (and a job) for everyone! Whether it’s a fun four-course dinner or some easy recipes for kids (like “banana sushi” or “no bake cookie dough balls”), this will keep the whole family busy, happy and fed!

Have an indoor treasure hunt. Keep the boredom at bay with a treasure hunt. Make a set of clues for each player (make each clue lead to a different room for fun and maybe your sanity), with each clue leading to the next, and finally the treasure! Whoever solves the clues first can pick dinner or choose the movie for your next movie night. 

Camp out in the living room. Who doesn’t love a good pillow fort. This option is great if you have little ones who are scared during storms. Make the rainy day fun by bringing out the camping gear. Grab a few extra sheets and pillows and pop up your tent! Don’t forget the s’mores and some good stories to tell! 

Host a movie marathon! Your American Legend media room is the perfect spot for a movie marathon so choose a movie from your ever-growing “to watch” list. Rainy days are perfect for cuddling up on the couch with the family. Keep a cozy throw on hand to snuggle under, a big bowl of buttery popcorn and settle in to enjoy the show(s).

If you happen to find yourself in an empty house on this rainy day, do something for yourself. Reorganize your closet, binge-watch your favorite show, maybe pamper yourself with a bubble bath. Whatever it is, you’ll feel re-energized and ready to tackle your to-do list after taking some time for you.
