Building your family’s new American Legend home is an exciting process. We’ve already explored construction stages 0, 1 and 2, as well as stages 3 and 4 in our blog. We left off at stage 4 where you will have a pre-drywall meeting. Now, let’s look at what goes into stages 5 and 6. Stage 5: Individual rooms will begin to take shape and you will start to get a feel for how your new home will be once it is complete.Interior insulation is installed and then thoroughly inspected by a third party for proper placementOnce the insulation inspection is passed, the drywall is installed. Walls are taped, bed and textured in preparation for trim and paint. The exterior is coming along, too, with the placement of exterior brick and/or stone. Stage 6:Your home is now ready for many interior details including cabinets, doors, trim and, if applicable, stairs. If you selected nail-down wood floors, they are installed at this point. Once all of the above is complete, your home is ready for interior paint. At American Legend Homes, we want to make your homebuilding process a fun and organized experience.
