American Legend Homes is proud to be celebrating its 18th anniversary this year. Since 2003, American Legend has built thousands of homes in North Texas. In 2018, we were proud to have expanded into Northern Colorado.
The American Legend history is an important one: it’s part of the Bright Industries family of companies, founded in the 1950's by the late H.R. “Bum” Bright, former Dallas Cowboys owner and businessman. The company grew under the leadership of Bum’s sons, Clay and Chris, and today is led by Chris.
In addition to home building, Bright Industries and the companies under its umbrella focus on commercial real estate, real estate development, financial services, landscaping, corporate hospitality and golf operations.
Its real estate development operations include Castle Hills, a 2,900-acre, award-winning master-planned community with single-family, multi-family, mixed-use and commercial real estate. This property is an heirloom for the Brights, who acquired the first piece of their family farm and what is now Castle Hills in 1952. And the name Castle Hills is a subtle nod to the family patriarch and his love of Arthurian legend. The above photo is of Bum and son Clay fishing at the family farm decades ago.
American Legend is currently building new homes in more than 20 communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Northern Colorado areas. The leadership team within American Legend has more than 75 combined years of home building experience. And we understand the critical role each member of our team plays in building trust and developing long term relationships with each homeowner.
“We take an immense amount of pride in making dream homes a reality and would be honored to partner with you on that journey,” said American Legend CEO Kevin Egan.
American Legend is excited to celebrate this milestone and looks forward to many more decades providing outstanding customer service to our buyers.
