American Legend Homes doesn’t just build in local communities, the company and its employees take an active role in being a part of their communities. American Legend Homes recently served as sponsor of the 52nd Annual Bright Realty Golf Classic benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Dallas. Bright Realty, part of the American Legend family of companies, has served as title sponsor for the event for 10 consecutive years. Funds raised go toward supporting the organization which offers mentors to kids in need. Young people who have a mentor are much more likely to be leaders, avoid incarceration, go on to college and volunteer.
Erika Klingenberg, American Legend sales associate at Parkside, has been a Big Sister for seven years and last year was recognized as “Collin County Big Sister of the Year.”
“The goal is to have a mentor who can offer exposure to thoughts, ideas and actions that can help the young person grow toward a great foundation for success in life. It requires a minimal amount of time from volunteers but has such a positive effect on the lives of so many young people in our community,” said Erika. “I am proud of my commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters and also proud to work for an organization that supports our community and the people who live here.”
